The Commission Plans feature helps you easily manage and track practitioners' commissions and payout records. You can setup the Commission Plans by category, such as Product, Package, Open Item, Billable Item or even specific Billable Item. After setup, you can monitor commissions month by month for the selected practitioner.
If you have many practitioners, setting a Practitioner Level will make it easier to assign commission values.
Follow these simple steps:
Go to [Settings] > [Users & Practitioners].
Select the Practitioner you want to edit.
Click [Edit Practitioner Settings].
Under the [Level] box, assign a level (e.g., Trainee, Junior, Senior, Manager). Note: This field is for reference only and does not affect system functionality.
Go to the Sidebar, select [Commission Plans], and choose a practitioner from the list (youβll also see the level if it was set earlier).
On the [Commission Plan Details] page, click [+ New] next to the Billable Item category. Set the [Activation Date] (e.g., the practitionerβs join date or your MedicalMet subscription date).
Fill in the [Maximum Quantity], [Rate] (percentage or fixed amount), and the [Amount Value], then click [Save].
Youβll now see the Billable Item commission set up for that practitioner.
To remove any category from the Commission Plan, click [View All] within the category and then click [Archive]. All data in that category will be removed.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 for [Product], [Package], [Open Item], or [Commission by Item]. Note: Commission under the "Commission by Item" category overrides the "Billable Item" commission for selected items.
After setup, commissions will be auto-calculated based on your [Activation Date], including invoices issued before the setup, as long as the invoice date is on or after the activation date.
Go to the Sidebar, select [Reports], and under Practitioners, choose [Commissions].
On the Commissions page, select the [Practitioner], [Month], and [Year] you want, then click [Create Report] to view the filtered data.
In the [Status] column: [Pending] indicates the commission has not been paid yet.
To mark commissions as paid, select the relevant invoice(s) on the left, click [Pay], and the status will change to [Paid].
To generate a report, click [Download] at the top right to get an Excel file with the filtered data.
